Talbot County Filmmaker Honored With Local Filmmaker Grant Award

Congratulations to local Talbot County author, playwright and filmmaker, Princess F.L. Gooden, of PFLG Entertainment! Mrs. Gooden’s forthcoming movie, “Princess” was selected by the Columbus Film Commission as one of the 2026 recipients for the Local Filmmaker Grant Program Awards.

Congratulations to local Talbot County author, playwright and filmmaker, Princess F.L. Gooden, of PFLG Entertainment! Mrs. Gooden’s forthcoming movie, “Princess” was selected by the Columbus Film Commission as one of the 2026 recipients for the Local Filmmaker Grant Program Awards.
This innovative program is designed to help develop local creative talent and to offer support to independent filmmakers in the Chattahoochee Valley area. Film Columbus GA has demonstrated success in fostering projects that showcase the Columbus region’s creative talent, storytelling and production capabilities. The grant award was presented to Mrs. Gooden by Joel Slocumb, Columbus Film Commissioner.
As evidence of her continuing success, Mrs. Gooden and PFLG Entertainment, have also been nominated for ACE Awards in five different categories, including Best Film, Best Church Play – Indie, Best Director – Film, Best Director – Indie Theater and Best Production Company – Film.
The ACE Awards (Artists Celebrating Excellence) celebrate creative people working in the performing arts industry by bestowing competitive awards in many categories and awarding several varieties of special honors to deserving individuals.
The nominations received this year by Mrs. Gooden and PFLG Entertainment are:
Best Film: “Snowflake”
Best Church Play – Indie Theater: “Lips of a Liar”
Best Director Film: Princess Gooden
Best Director – Indie Theater: Princess Gooden
Best Production Company – Film: PFLG Entertainment
