Hogansville Council Discusses Unified Ordinance
Prior to the June 1st Hogansville City Council meeting, the council held an hour- long work session that was attended by a large crowd of citizens. The council discussed Unified Development Ordinance amendments concerning the creation of Heavy Industrial zoning districts, standards for data center development and establishing procedures and requirements related to development of impact of such centers.
Talbot County Filmmaker Honored With Local Filmmaker Grant Award
Congratulations to local Talbot County author, playwright and filmmaker, Princess F.L. Gooden, of PFLG Entertainment! Mrs. Gooden’s forthcoming movie, “Princess” was selected by the Columbus Film Commission as one of the 2026 recipients for the Local Filmmaker Grant Program Awards.
Time Capsule Buried at Library
Last week the Harris County Public Library buried a time capsule to be opened in the year 2051.
Shiloh Police Officers Honored For Saving the Life of Teenager
The Chief of Police of Shiloh and one of his officers were honored by the Shiloh Mayor and Council during the board’s regular meeting held on June 2.
The Mayor and Council presented Chief Wayne Cato and Officer Roy Harper with Commendations for saving the life of a teenager severly injured in an accident on May 10.
