The Meriwether Historical Society program on Gullah-Geechee Culture scheduled for May 31st has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 14th, at 2 pm in the Greenville Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.

40 Turn Out for Senior Fishing Event

Talbot County Sheriff Bobby Gates, Jr. hosted Talbot County’s first ever Senior Citizen Fishing Rodeo on May 30 at Heritage Park in Talbotton. There were over 40 participants that attended the joyous occasion. Some seniors came to fish, some came to fellowship, and some just came out to watch and enjoy.
