Hogansville Preparing for America’s 250th

Along with many other towns across America, Hogansville is gearing up for Independence Day, which in 2026 will be our country’s 250th anniversary.

Along with many other towns across America, Hogansville is gearing up for Independence Day, which in 2026 will be our country’s 250th anniversary. As you can see from the photo, the Royal Theater is already adorned for the event with the stars and stripes. The city purchased the flags and patriotic banners for the light poles downtown, but the banners have yet to arrive. The new decorations will be used for July 4th, Memorial Day and Veterans Day events for years to come.
Festivities for the big day kick-off Friday, July 3rd with the America 250 Celebration at the Royal Theater. Joe Gransden will headline the show which begins at 7:30pm. After spending the 4th with your family, the celebrations continue Sunday, July 5th, with food trucks, a kid’s corner and live entertainment. Anyone interested in being a vendor for the event should call Kent Berus at 706-637-9555. Beginning at 5pm, Three On A Tree will perform onstage across from the Royal Theater, followed by Chillbillyz at 6:30. The Universal Sound Experience follow at 8pm, and will entertain the crowd until the fireworks begin at dusk. Crowds for the fireworks display the past two years have been tremendous and city officials hope rain doesn’t dampen this year’s event. Everyone is welcome to come celebrate America’s 250 years of freedom with us this Independence Day.
