Qualifying ended last week for municipal elections. Each city election is listed below.
CITY OF MANCHESTER
Qualifying ended on Wednesday, Aug. 4 for the City of Manchester Municipal Election scheduled for Nov. 4.
In the District 1, Post 1 race, Incumbent Nicolas Martin will see opposition from Delisha Hodo. Martin was appointed to the seat after Tomeka Lowe resigned.
Martin is employed by CSX Railroad. Hodo is a Manchester High School graduate and is the Assistant Director of Advising – Academics at SANS Technology Institute.
Retired pharmacist Donnie Brown has held the District 2, Post 1 seat since the death of former council member Judy Foster Pike. Brown decided not to seek reelection.
Jodi Sharp, who served as the Manchester Development Authority Director and is presently director of encomic development with the Meriwether Count Industrial Development Authority, has qualified to seek the post and so has Jason Smith. Smith is a business owner and operator.

CITY OF MANCHESTER
Qualifying ended on Wednesday, Aug. 4 for the City of Manchester Municipal Election scheduled for Nov. 4.

CITY OF LUTHERSVILLE
There will be no need for an election in the City of Luthersville in November after the only candidates to qualify were incumbents.
Qualifying for the election ended on Friday, Aug. 22.
Incumbent Concetta Amey will return to her Post 3 seat after no one qualified to oppose her. Amey is an educator.
Incumbent Paul Parker was also the only candidate to qualify for his Post 4 seat. Parker is a retired restaurant owner.
According to Gay Harris, Luthersville’s City Clerk and Qualifying Officer, the election has been cancelled due to the fact only the incumbents qualified and it is deemed that the two candidates have voted for themselves.
CITY OF GREENVILLE
Long-term council member Virginia Hill and Ryan Moore will not seek reelection in Greenville in November.
Two candidates have qualified to seek Hill’s seat for Post 3. Mickie Render Hill, who is retired and Larry Knowles, a deputy fire chief will face off for the seat.
Labareon “Tyree” Barnes, an area sales manager, was the only candidate to qualify for the Post 4 seat currently held by Moore.
CITY OF WARM SPRINGS
There will be no need for an election in the City of Warm Springs in November either.
Mayor Robin Pynenburg will return to her seat without opposition after she was the only candidate to qualify for the office.
Post 2 Incumbent Tammy Howe did not qualify to seek reelection in November. Cobra Martin was the only candidate to qualify for the seat.
Incumbent Pamela Ammiano will return to her Post 4 seat. No other candidate qualified to seek the post.
CITY OF WOODBURY
The City of Woodbury will see a host of candidates on the November ballot.
In the race for Mayor, Incumbent Ronnie Garret, retired, will see opposition from several candidate.
Former Mayor Tonya Moody, a realtor, tax preparer and vendor.
Former council member Jada Holmes, a program manager, is also seeking the mayor’s seat. Holmes had to resign from her council seat to seek the mayor’s seat.
There is another candidate seeking the seat as well. Dustin Hawkins, an entrepreneur, will also be in the mayor’s race.
Incumber Post 1 councilmember Amanda Hardnett, an adult protective services specialist, will return to her seat unopposed.
In the race for the Post 2 council seat, Incumbent Bobby Jones, a receiving clerk for Weiler Forestry, will see opposition from two candidates. Kay S. Williamson, a director with the Meriwether County School District and Cathy B. Harbin, a registered nurse have qualified to oppose Jones.
CITY OF GAY
There will be no need for an election in Gay in November.
Incumbent Post 2 councilmember Sally Keith, a retired educator, will return to her seat on the board. She was the only candidate to qualify for the post.
Tracey Watts, who is self employed, was the only candidate to qualify for the Post 3 seat.
