Trial Scheduled for Accused Murderers of Newnan Teen

Three men are scheduled to appear in Meriwether County Superior Court this week in the murder case of Jordan Simon, 14, of Coweta County.
Simon’s body was found on Rocky Mount Road on Sept. 25, 2025 launching an investigation by the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office reported that a passerby reported seeing the body
In Nov. 2024, the Sheriff’s Office announced that Jamarion Ford, Maurice Malone and Thaddeus Stokes was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office in Oct. 2024, had all been charged in the case.
All three men are facing charges of malice murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, aggravated assault and felony murder.
The trial was scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 19 in the case.
