Man sent to hospital after shooting at Westside Villas apartments in Fort Valley, police chief says
Fort Valley police responded to a shooting at a local apartment complex and found a man who had been shot, according to the Chief of Police.
FORT VALLEY, Ga. — A man was hospitalized after a shooting took place at a Fort Valley apartment complex on Thursday, May 7, according to Fort Valley Police Chief David Wilson.
Wilson said that the police responded to a reported shooting around 1:40 p.m. at Westside Villas on Brooks Boulevard. When officers arrived on scene, they found a man who had been shot.
The man was taken to a local hospital to undergo surgery. At the time of the report, the victim was listed in critical condition and his current status is unknown.
Wilson said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) responded to the scene and would handle the investigation.
At this time no arrests have been made.
