* The Hidden History Of America’s White House *

Greetings and blessings! Again, on our nation’s 250th birthday month of July, I respectfully continue to appreciate, celebrate, more so, educate. Afterall, so little is mentioned about slaves and other’s contributions to America. Perhaps you remember our beautiful first lady Michelle Obama, who occupied the White House for two terms with President Barrack Obama and her family. I vividly remember her making a speech in 2016 at the DMC, their final year in the White House. She spoke eloquently and boldly, yet with dignity and respect, as she fact checked and called attention to untold history and stories of enslaved people’s contributions to the buildings in Washington D.C. She said, “I tell the story of this country, the story of generation of people enslaved who felt the lash of bondage, the shame of servitude [master’s forced labor imposed as punishment], the sting of segregation, but kept on striving and hoping and done what needed to be done. So today I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves. And I watch my daughters, two beautiful, intelligent black young women playing with their dogs on the White House lawn.” Just look at God! God can turn any situation around; He can take what was meant for evil and make it good. He can take what is wrong and make it right to be pleasing in His sight. In fact, never done before; ABC news traces down a living descendant to a slave that helped build the White House. It literally required historians and genealogists to make exhausting and relentless research efforts. You see, unbelievable, American slaves were once disgracefully recorded as property alongside the cattle and pigs. However, as they continue to explore, they found a list of slave builders’ names that were rented from slave masters. And it was discovered how much the slaves were paid. Unfortunately, the slaves never received the pay, but their slave master did. Nevertheless, one name stood out that led them to this fifth or six generation granddaughter. She was flown to DC to witness and see firsthand this amazing discovery.
Meanwhile, like it or not, American History is black history, slaves’ history and all the other cultures that have and still are making a contributing difference in American History! Trump says, “Make American Great Again.” Please excuse me sir, America has always been GREAT! Thanks to a collective contribution from “We, all the people of the United States of America! “Blessed (happy) is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage (own)!” (Psalms 33:12).
