* Striving In 2026 With High Expectations *

Greetings and blessings! As I write this Monday, it’s MLK’s federal holiday. Of course, King died fighting for equal rights, for black and white with high expectations for his fellow man, and so must we! Indeed, I fervently pray that one of our major utmost expectations this year 2026 will be striving to build a stronger and intimate relationship with God! And too, that we began anew believing the best of and in everyone we know. More so, ask God to help us to be anxious and ready to sincerely forgive and forget, like He forgives us over and over again. In doing so, it will help us have more peace and joy. Furthermore, we will enjoy the people in our lives much more than ever before.

Perhaps, we will become friends with our enemies and genuinely love them unconditionally too. However, let’s strive wholeheartedly, trusting God with high expectations to make this year 2026 better than the last. And of course, we can’t move forward, living in the past. Philippians 3:13 says, “But one thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and straining (striving) forward to what lies ahead.” And I do believe that God has great plans with expectations for all of us. Read Jeremiah 29:11.
You see and know that God doesn’t need us; we surely need Him as we strive to fulfill our expectation, according to His Will. So then, be very mindful of anger, jealously, and mess/foolishness and ultimately; misunderstanding, But whatever, with honest communication, perhaps we can find/establish common ground and resolve. A devotional said, “In order to begin this new year properly, it is so important not to enter it with any kind of bitterness or unforgiveness in our hearts.” I most certainly agree! Now God’s Word says, “….If we carry anger around, it could turn to sin and give the devil a foothold on our lives…” (Ephesians 4:26-27). Rather, I sincerely pray with expectation that God gives us a compromising spirit to let go and let Him. Now Lord, please help us to grow in Your grace and wisdom that we may mend disagreements with families, friends and enemies this year 2026. It’s essential that we strive with expectations to honor God, serve others and make a positive, uplifting and affective difference in someone else’s lives. Meanwhile, “It’s not about knowing what the future (2026) holds, but rather about knowing Who holds the future of (2026).” It’s none other than our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, God Almighty! Howbeit, when God bless us to see another year alive, it’s a valuable gift that should not be taken lightly. It’s a gift that should be use for His glory and honor, not our own. May God’s love, grace and mercy be with us all!
