Smisson Ridgon drops huge buck

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Smisson Ridgon of Perry and a student at Westfield School, bagged the buck of a lifetime recently on his hunting club in Houston County.

He thought that he might never see the monster buck again after he missed an east shot with his bow earlier in the season. But a few days later he was back on the stand, hoping for some good luck when the buck appeared again, giving him the chance for a redo!

This time he made the shot and he became a very happy deer hunter! The 13 point buck will easily qualify for the Pope and Young Archery Record book, and his family expects the buck to score in the upper 150 range when the 60 day drying period is over.

Congratulations, Smisson!
