* Fathers! Pray For And Teach Your Children *

Greetings and blessings! On today, Father’s Day, I visited my son Juan Kelvin graveside. Happy Heavenly Father’s Day Son! However, even though it’s painful and hard but I still trust God and live by the Serenity Prayer and “God’s grace grants me the strength to accept those things that I cannot change.”

Greetings and blessings! On today, Father’s Day, I visited my son Juan Kelvin graveside. Happy Heavenly Father’s Day Son! However, even though it’s painful and hard but I still trust God and live by the Serenity Prayer and “God’s grace grants me the strength to accept those things that I cannot change.” However, right now we are undeniably living in some very dark, critical, crucial and difficult times. So then, it’s essential that we as fathers, parents and adults step up and man up. It’s extremely necessary that we reach out, connect, teach, discipline, embrace, love and most especially fervently pray without ceasing for our children like never before. Fathers, God’s Word specifically tells us to “Train up our children in the way they should go, they may stray but will not depart from it.” (Proverb 22:6). It’s our appointed duty to teach and pray for them! In fact, we as fathers play the vital role in shaping our children’s character, values, and faith through guidance, example, and consistent teaching.
Furthermore, as fathers, it’s time we carefully examine ourselves, asking these questions. Am I doing all and everything that God would have me to do and be so that my children will live and not die due to the lack of fatherhood and knowledge? Am I teaching them to “Love one another as God has loved us?” (John 15:12). Fathers, we must teach our children how to be saved ABC; Admit, Believe and Confess! We must teach our children that “The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life.” (Romans 6:23) Fathers, it’s time and we must “Bring our children up in the nurture and admonition (instruction) of God.” (Ephesians 6:4). In fact, it is our solemn responsibilities to guide, provide, and teach them about God. Fathers, we as the head of the family and household, must insist, “That as for me and my house (children), we will pray together and serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15). In essence, it is time we must lead by example. Even more so, we must teach our children how to pray. And teach them to be accountable to God and not man and we as fathers must set standards and expectations. Actually, our children literally grow and go before we know. They have more negative influences from the media and technology than ever before. Please fathers, listen and then talk, agree to disagree in love. We must ultimately establish a godly and intimate relationship with our children. More so, do often tell them, “I love you! I’m proud of you!” Fathers, it is ok to say NO! In doing so, I’m confident; it will indeed make a significant and lasting difference in their growing up lives and yours too! May God, our Heavenly Father bless us all! HAPPY BELATED FATHER’S DAY!
