Sunday marked one year since the murder of former legal

secretary Jessica Wolfe. Russell Holt, the man accused of killing Wolfe, is

scheduled to make his first court appearance since receiving bond last August.

Holt, 28,is charged with felony murder and aggravated assault.

Holt is slated to go before a judge on April 1 for motion

hearings in his case.

Wolfe, who was a legal secretary at the Houston County

District Attorney’s Office, was killed in the early morning hours on March 17,

2012.

The former probation officer is accused of shooting his

girlfriend around 2:30 a.m. on March 17.

In an

earlier preliminary hearing, the defense argued that Holt did not kill Wolfe.

Holt claimed that he was knocked in the head during a home invasion and that an

intruder killed Wolfe.

The

prosecution told the judge during the preliminary hearing that Wolfe texted her

best friend the night of the murder saying she was scared for her life and that

she feared Holt was going to harm her.

Holt was

given a $650,000 bond on Aug 13. While he awaits his trail, Holt has been

living with his parents as a condition of the court since granted the bond.
