The City of Perry celebrated its annual Juneteenth Freedom Day celebration for the first time in its historic downtown on Friday, June 12.
PERRY – The City of Perry celebrated Juneteenth early on Friday, June 12. The event was held for the first time in the city’s historic downtown. Food trucks, live entertainment and other fun activities made it a fun atmosphere to celebrate the special holiday, which commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. People gathered in front of city hall to remember and celebrate the sacrifices of freedom.
