Sheriff’s deputy demoted after Monday DUI arrest
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — The Houston County Sheriff’s Office arrested a deputy for driving under the influence on Monday morning, according to the sheriff’s office.
According to Captain Clay Chambers, around 2 a.m. on May 29, deputies initiated a traffic stop on Russell Parkway.
The driver, identified as Bob Durham Jr., was determined under the influence and arrested. He was charged with DUI and later transported to the Houston County Detention Facility.
Chambers confirmed Durham was a deputy with the sheriff’s office, and has since been transferred from patrol to the detention facility. Durham was in a personal vehicle, and not on duty during the arrest.
