VHS student elected Georgia DECA state officer
He will serve on DECA’s State Action Team for the 2013-2014 school year. Conference planning and management responsibilities will be one of his primary roles as a State Officer. Farms will assist with the operation of the Georgia DECA Fall Rally in October 2013, Fall Leadership Development Conference in October 2013, the Regional Career Development Conference in January 2014, and the Georgia DECA State Career Development Conference held March 2014.
Farms is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Farms. In addition to DECA, he is involved in Drama and Rho Kappa. Enrolled in the Veterans High Marketing Education Program, he is learning skills that will serve him well as a DECA office and in his future career. DECA is an international organization designed to reinforce occupational competencies of high school students who plan to pursue a career in marketing, merchandising or management.
