The Bunny Bash: hop into easter fun this weekend in Centerville
The Bunny Bash will take place Saturday, April 19, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Houston County Galleria.

CENTERVILLE — The community is invited to a free Bunny Bash at the Galleria Mall this Saturday. Organized by Mayoral Candidate J. Micheal Evans, the Easter-themed event will include balloon twisting, face painting, and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny.

“I’m just looking for an opportunity to talk to people a little bit about my run for mayor of Centerville and to maybe garner some support from people who live in Centerville at that point. Give them an opportunity to learn a little bit more about me and what I’m trying to do when it comes to the future of Centerville,” he said.
The mall has been receptive and helpful to Evans as he takes on hosting the Bunny Bash for the first time.
“I was just thinking about what can I do to be able to bring the community together. So, I went and talked to the management at the mall and they said they had not planned on doing anything during that time. … I said, ‘I’d like to partner with you,’ and they agreed. They’re providing the space and I’m going to be providing the event,” he said.
Evans expressed his enthusiasm for this weekend’s event, emphasizing his dedication to improving the city.
“I’m always interested in doing stuff for the community, in increasing the quality of life, making it better for folks to live in Centerville, and attracting new residents to Centerville. So I’m excited about that, and I just hope things work out really well with this,” he said.
Evans suggested a fun and family-friendly gathering for Saturday afternoon.
“I want everybody to come out and enjoy the event, come to the mall and enjoy the atmosphere, stop at the stores, because there’s a lot there to offer,” he said.
The Bunny Bash will take place Saturday, April 19, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Houston County Galleria, located at 2922 Watson Boulevard, Centerville.
