Thank you, Houston County
Dear Houston Home Journal Readers,
When we
(the Houston Home Journal) put out the word that Loaves and Fishes needed
canned goods to get through the holiday season and provide for the needy
families in Houston County, we felt sure the community would respond. And respond they did.
The
resulting influx of donated canned goods and food surpassed any of our
expectations. Thanks to the community’s response, the cupboards are once again
well stocked at Loaves and Fishes.
We
couldn’t have done it without our partners: ComSouth, the City of Perry, the City of Warner of
Robins, the Houston County Sheriff’s Department, the Perry Police Department,
CB&T Bank, the City of Centerville, Flint Energies, Verizon Wireless in
Perry and the Centerville Police Department.
But the real thanks goes to those who volunteer their time to work at
Loaves and Fishes. These are the people who get the food where it needs to go.
Without their tireless efforts, those in need wouldn’t know where to turn for
help.
Whether
you are someone who volunteered at Loaves and Fishes or someone who brought a
canned good to any of the locations during this collection, we thank you. You
played an important role in touching the lives of people around you, and we
applaud you for that.
Sincerely,
The Houston Home Journal
