Suspect in Hwy 41 Dollar General robbery still at large
PERRY, Ga. — The Perry Police Department is currently investigating an armed robbery that happened at the Dollar General location at 2203 Highway 41 N. Saturday night, according to a “BOLO” (“Be On The Lookout”) “A Black male with a mask entered the business, went up to the counter and basically demanded money and had a gun in his waistband,” Captain Heath Dykes of Perry Police said. “He pointed to the gun in his waistband, showing the clerk what he had, and he basically got away with an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.”
Dykes added that the suspect fled the scene on foot, but investigators suspect there may have been a getaway vehicle parked nearby.
The suspect is believed to be around six feet tall and 240 pounds, aged in his mid to late 40’s, has brown eyes, dark skin and short hair.
