Male pedestrian struck by vehicle Monday night, dead at the scene 

Houston County Coroner James Williams said the accident occurred Monday night on Highway 41.

UPDATE: The victim has been identified as John David West, 73, of Perry.

HOUSTON COUNTY — An unidentified male was pronounced dead after he was struck by a vehicle Monday night. 

Houston County Coroner James Williams said the vehicle vs. pedestrian crash occurred on Highway 41, just south of Highway 96. The initial 911 call was made at 10:45 p.m.

This was the second traffic death to occur on Monday, July 27. 

Williams said the crash is being investigated by the Houston County Sheriff’s Traffic Division.
