Pedestrian dead after being struck by vehicle on Moody Road Wednesday night

A 25-year-old male was pronounced dead after being hit by a vehicle on Moody Road Wednesday night.

WARNER ROBINS — A man was found dead on a popular Warner Robins street Wednesday night. 

Warner Robins Police Department responded to Moody Road and Leisure Lake Drive at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in regards to a traffic accident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle, according to a press release.

Houston County Coroner James Williams identified the victim as Luis Manzano, 25. He was pronounced dead on scene.

The traffic division was notified that the driver, Anthony Brown, 24, was going northbound on Moody Road and struck Manzano, who was walking in the road.

Williams reminds motorists to be aware of pedestrians during the warmer months as more people go outside. 

Williams also encourages pedestrians and cyclists to use designated crosswalks and to wear reflective clothing or lighting at night to help improve visibility. 

The Warner Robins Police Department is investigating this incident. Those with information are urged to contact Sgt. Christopher Davis at (478) 302-5378 or the Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-866-68CRIME.
