Man arrested after Perry home invasion
PERRY, Ga. — A man is behind bars after breaking into a home in Perry on Sunday morning.
According to a release by the department, around 8:40 a.m. on Aug. 13, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Houston Lake Road in response to two males outside the house with firearms.
One of the suspects, identified as 41-year old Jason Butler, was found in possession of a stolen semi-automatic pistol, a revolver and an AR-15 rifle.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Butler had pointed the firearms towards an adult and juvenile while forcefully making his way into the residence.
Butler was arrested and charged with home invasion, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and theft by receiving stolen property.
As of press time on Tuesday, Butler is currently housed at the Houston County Detention Facility.
