Juveniles steal Mercedes from WR automotive shop
Warner Robins Police say three juveniles face multiple charges after stealing a Mercedes SUV from a car dealer and causing damage on their way off the lot.
According to law enforcement, it happened at Click It Automotive on Watson Blvd. around 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday.
Chief Wagner stated, “The person who called the police said they noticed several damaged vehicles and believed it was a hit-and-run.”
When authorities saw the surveillance tape, they discovered three female juveniles had gone around the lot trying to open car doors. When they got to the Mercedes, the juveniles noticed it was unlocked and had the keys inside.
“The tow truck driver didn’t lock the car and secure the keys,” Wagner informed.
The juveniles drove off in the SUV, hitting several other vehicles in the process. Police later spotted the SUV on Watson Blvd. near Orchard Way, conducted a traffic stop, and arrested the suspects, aged 12, 13, and 14-years-old.
The suspects were taken to the Houston County Juvenile Division and charged with motor vehicle theft, damage to property and entering auto.
