Jay Stephen Kinnas
Jay Stephen Kinnas, 55, of Perry, Ga. left us too soon, early morning on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Family and friends are welcome to say goodbye to Jay on Friday, October 7, 2016, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Contributions in memory of Jay may be made to Perry Junior League, c/o Watson Funeral Home, P. O. Box 52, Perry, GA 31069.
Jay was born on March 15, 1961, in Perry and was a lifelong area resident. In his early years, he was a farmer in Macon County. His abilities were sought after by many in the Southeast, for guidance to repair combine harvesters. He later became a sheet metal specialist on Robins Air Force Base. He spent many years volunteering with Perry Junior League at Ochlahatchee Ball Park and was inducted as an Honorary Member into the Perry Junior League Hall of Fame in 2010. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Christ Gus Kinnas and Joyce King Kinnas Arrington.
He is survived by his four children, CPT Rachel Kinnas, SGT Stephen Kinnas, Hannah Pritchett, and Samuel Kinnas; his three brothers, Mike Kinnas, Ronnie Kinnas, and Benny Kinnas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
