Houston Healthcare Selected as VHA Georgia, 2013 Leadership Award Winner
During the VHA Georgia annual 2013 Leadership Expo, Houston Healthcare was presented with two awards during their Leadership Awards Program. The annual Expo included presentations by industry experts, a supplier trade show and poster session showcasing over 90 application entries. This event culminated a 6-month process of collecting applications from member hospitals and an extensive peer review evaluation to select winners that participated in VHA Georgia’s Leadership Awards Program.
Houston Healthcare received awards in the following categories:
Category: 0-49 Beds
• Perry Hospital: 1st Place for the project titled “Using Lean to Improve Patient Flow Through Outpatient Services”
Category: Non-Acute Care
• Houston Healthcare Community Education: 1st Place for the project titled “Faith Community Health Program”
“Our team of employees, Leadership and physicians work continuously to improve the care our patients receive each day, as well as the processes that enable us to provide quality care,” stated Cary Martin, Chief Executive Officer for Houston Healthcare. “Being selected by our peers and recognized at the state level is a positive reflection on the commitment our team makes every day to care for our community.”
