Houston Co. Fire mourns firefighter
HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. — The Houston County Fire Department is in mourning over the loss of one of their own this week.
According to a post by the department, firefighter Jason Bradberry passed away at his home in Macon on Tuesday afternoon. He was not on duty at the time.
“Jason had a true passion for helping others and was loved by all who encountered him. Heaven has gained an amazing soul and we are all better for knowing him,” the post said.
Bradberry joined the fire department in April after previously working three years for the Macon-Bibb Fire Department.
As of press time arrangements are being made with his family. The fire department encourages the community to keep the family, Houston County Fire Department and Macon-Bibb Fire Department in their prayers.
