Grand jury hands down 34 indictments
A Houston County grand jury handed down a total of 34 indictments last week. See the Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, edition of the Houston Home Journal to read the first of two stories discussing the latest indictments.
Other indictments include that of Abyrlle Travonte Seal, 26, of Warner Robins, who receive five separate indictments for incidents in late October and early November of this year. According to the indictments, Seal used a BB gun to steal $302 from Windgate by Wyndam Hotel as well as $2,605 from Dollar General, pointing the BB gun at three different people at those two locations, on Oct. 24. The indictments also say that on Oct. 31, Seal, again used a BB gun to commit armed robbery and aggravated assault by stealing $300 from Ramada Inn. On Nov. 10, Seal is said to have taken $3,000 from Dollar General while simultaneously committing aggravated assault and kidnapping against two people by pointing a BB gun at them and holding the victims against their will. Seal once again tried to rob Dollar General on Nov. 13, earning a final charge of criminal attempt to commit a felony, by pointing a BB gun and demanding money from a person, according to indictments.
Ronald Jaimeson Embry, 38, of Macon, has an indictment that includes 17 different counts against him, including two counts of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, two counts of obstruction of an officer, aggravated assault on a police officer, driving under the influence (of drugs), hit and run, driving on the left side of the roadway, two counts of improper passing, failing to maintain lane, affixing of plate to conceal or misrepresent identity, speeding, reckless driving, failure to stop at a stop sign, improper use of central lane and failure to report an accident. According to the document, Embry refused to stop after being signaled by a law enforcement officer and then initiated a high-speed chase, going at speeds of 74 miles per hour on Feagin Mill Road near Idlewood Drive, where the posted speed limit is 35 miles per hour. He earned most of the other charges due to the chase. The aggravated assault on an officer charge comes from ramming a vehicle driven by a deputy at the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.
