Fat wrinkles and slowing them down

No, it’s not actually a wrinkle.

No, it’s not actually a wrinkle; it’s that cellulite we so aggravatingly detect as we grow older. Cellulite is to fat, as a wrinkle is to skin; it’s simply that one is aged skin and the other is aged fat. Though we cannot prevent getting older, there are often things we can do to slow down the effects of aging, especially premature aging.

Our skin: when it loses elasticity, wrinkles form, and the overall appearance becomes saggy. This can be caused in large part by pollutants our bodies have to deal with, whether through environmental exposures or through our food and drink choices.

Our Fat: we have fat cells all over our bodies; these are backup energy stores to protect us when we cannot eat enough calories to meet our daily needs. When caloric intake is insufficient to meet our daily needs, our body will tap into this supply.

Aging fat: when fat cells are young, the overlying texture is usually supple and smooth, but as we get older, we may start seeing some lumpiness, aka cellulite. These are unhealthy or aged energy cells (fat cells) that are similar to an aged fuel tank that has signs of rusting and pitting. In the case of a car, it could come from external road conditions or from factors such as bad fuel. This is pretty much the same for our bodies when toxins are allowed to build up, causing the cells in our skin, fat, and vital organs to age prematurely. Our body is a lot like a factory in that it has toxic matter that needs to be removed, and if we don’t get it eliminated properly, it will build up in us and age the areas it collects in. Not getting rid of these toxins is like putting a lid on a factory’s smokestack, trapping the toxic smoke inside and causing rapid aging of the factory’s interior.

Our body naturally protects us from toxins by either wrapping the toxins in mucous or fat, and if these are allowed to build up, “we will eventually feel the toxic effects as well as see it in the health of our fat and our skin tone.

What we can do:

1. Increase the antioxidants (fruits and vegetables) in our diet, which give us much-needed nutrients that help neutralize these toxins that cause oxidative damage to our fat cells.

2. We need exercise to increase circulation and blood flow into these areas to circulate these toxins out of our fat cells.

3. Stimulate circulation with something like a brush that has the little plastic beads at the end, and work the area in a circular motion.

4. Sweating helps push these toxins out of our bodies.

5. Increase fiber intake to pull toxins out of our digestive tract.

6. Increase water intake to help flush these toxins out through waste elimination and sweating.

Note: whenever you are trying to get rid of fat, or rejuvenate fat for a firmer tone, remember fat cells often accumulate toxins that when released cause oxidation (aging and disease) to other parts of the body they encounter, so increasing water intake along with an antioxidant rich diet of fruits and vegetables is important to avoid aging our vital organs, fat cells, and skin!

Doing the above list helps us lose weight not only to look younger, but also to make our fat cells much healthier energy cells!

Fat is not something we should always think of in terms of how to get rid of it, but rather what we can do to make our fat cells healthy. Healthy fat under our skin helps us look younger and healthier!
