Curtiss Clayton Kicliter, ll, peacefully passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018. The family will visit with friends on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Marshallville, Georgia with the Memorial Services, including Military Honors and Masonic Rites, to immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Marshallville, 307 East Main Street, Marshallville, Georgia 31057 or to the Kindred Hospice Foundation, 3350 Riverwood Parkway, Suite 1400, Atlanta, Georgia 30339.

Mr. Kicliter was born in Fort Pierce, Florida. He was the son of the late Curtiss Clayton and Mildred Negus Kicliter. Curtiss served his country as a Paratrooper in the United States Army, with the 82nd and 102nd Airborne Divisions. He was a Funeral Director, Embalmer and Owner in Florida for forty-one years. In 1998, he decided to retire from the Funeral Industry and relocate to Marshallville, Georgia to begin his second career working at his farm, Double C Farms, in the cattle industry. Curtiss earned a degree in Mortuary Science from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and was a Member of the First Baptist Church of Marshallville, Georgia. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of forty-two years, Carol Hall Kicliter; his children; Curtiss Kicliter, lll (Kim) of Marshallville, Georgia, Sharon L. Francis (Bill) of Jacksonville, Florida, Christina L. Johnston (Jeff) of Palmetto, Florida, Rita C. Greeman (Doug) of Parrish, Florida, and Paula R. Whitaker of Cynthiana, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Carolyn and Patsy.

Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements of Curtiss C. Kicliter, II.
