Critter Fixers stars open vet clinic in Warner Robins
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — PetSmart and Critter Fixers announced the grand opening of its second Veterinary Services Hospital in Warner Robins, conveniently situated within the local PetSmart store at 2730 Watson Blvd.
This new hospital is now ready to welcome and care for new pet patients, opened on Saturday by Co-Founders of “Critter Fixer Veterinary Hospitals,” Dr. Vernard Hodges, DVM and Dr. Terrence Ferguson, DVM.
Leading the team is the experienced and dedicated Dr. Clarrissa Porter, DVM, who not only serves as the primary practicing veterinarian but is also part owner of the hospital. Dr. Porter’s remarkable journey in the field began over two decades ago as a technician at Critter Fixers Veterinary Hospital, making her a passionate and well-seasoned professional in pet care.
In a release, Porter shared appreciation to her mentors, and becoming a inspiration herself:
“”It has long been my mission to inspire the next generation of future veterinarians,” said Dr. Hodges. “With PVS I am grateful to provide additional opportunities for veterinarians of color to take on leadership and ownership roles within the profession and their community.”
Senior leadership at PetSmart Veterinary Services also shared excitement for the new location’s opening.
“We’re excited to celebrate the opening of Dr. Hodges’ and Dr. Ferguson’s second PVS location,” said John Bork, senior vice president of vet health services at PVS. “Together with Dr. Porter, they are offering knowledgeable, compassionate veterinary care from a convenient PetSmart location that has all pet parent’s needs in one place. We look forward to our continued relationship with them and empowering veterinarians to own their own practice.”
The grand opening celebration took place on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and it was a fantastic event filled with exciting activities. Attendees enjoyed a wide range of attractions, including complimentary food trucks and ice cream trucks serving delicious treats.
The event was filled with fun and laughter through various games and there were generous giveaways for lucky participants. The atmosphere was enhanced with lively music, creating a festive and enjoyable experience for all who joined the celebration.
