Chamber Students of the Month

The Perry Area Chamber of Commerce announced the Students of the Month for March. The recipients Tavish Smith, Grace Springer and Savanna Moody were presented with the award on March 28 at the Chamber office with their principals, family, and friends in attendance.
Tavish Smith is the daughter of Steven and Julie Smith of Bonaire. She is well-rounded and excels in academic and extra-curricular activities at Veterans High School. Tavish has a 3.7 GPA and is a third year honor student. She has been in Beta club for her entire high school career and in FFA for the past two years.
Tavish served as class secretary in her sophomore year and is currently the FFA secretary. Tavish plans to attend Georgia Southern in the fall but is undecided on a major.
Grace Springer is a senior graduating with honors from The Westfield School. She is the daughter of Karen Briscoe and William Springer. She plans to attend Georgia College in the fall and major in early childhood education.
Grace is very talented in music; she has participated in the Honor, All-Select, and All-State chorus programs. She recently received first place in piano and second place in girls’ trio in region competition. She is a Golden Eagle nomination in the area of music. She is an assistant dance and gymnastic instructor at Kids America, and she tutors students in academic courses each afternoon.
Savanna Moody is the daughter of Becky and Kyle Moody. She has been an Honor Roll student for the past four years and a member of the National Honor Society for three years at Perry High School. Savanna has been accepted to Mercer University although her major is still undecided. She is an active member of Cross point Church Youth Group.
