Ag Georgia Farm Credit says ‘thank you’ to customers
Ag Georgia Farm Credit hosted Customer Appreciation Day on Thursday at Rozar Park in Perry.
Nick Hartley, manager for the Perry and Montezuma branches, said the luncheon is a way for the organization to give back to the people who do business with them. Ag Georgia Farm Credit is a cooperative, meaning that those who do business with them have ownership in the business.
Hartley said they serve farmers’ needs, provide rural land loans, hunting land loans and much more.
The Perry High School Future Farmers of America teamed up with Ag Georgia for the luncheon and cooked the spread of barbecue, beans and other goodies.
Phillip Gentry Jr., an agriculture teacher at Perry High School, said, ” Farm Credit supports us throughout the year. This is just a small token of our appreciation.”
Gentry said the organization supports the FFA efforts by sponsoring the livestock program, funding scholarships and helping with the end of the year banquet.
“Just the money they put into our school program benefits students everywhere, and we appreciate everything they do for us,” Gentry finished.
Hartley noted that the Perry office is also home to the Ag Georgia Farm Credit corporate offices as well.
