Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Special to the Journal

You are invited to patrol the streets with an officer from the Warner

Robins Police Department – via Twitter!

The Warner Robins Police Department is holding the first ever “Virtual

Ride-Along” via Twitter on Thursday, January 17th from 8:00 A.M. – 3:00

P.M.  Public Information Officer

Tabitha Pugh will be riding with a patrol officer and tweeting calls for

service, arrests, and anything else the officer encounters during his

shift.  Some tweets will include

pictures and videos to give the viewer a more visual experience.

The “Virtual Ride-Along” is designed to give the community a glimpse

into the daily life of a police officer patrolling the streets of Warner

Robins.  Citizens can view the

ride-along by following @WarnerRobinsPD on Twitter.

PIO Pugh and the

officer will be taking questions during the ride-along from Twitter users who

mention @WarnerRobinsPD in their tweet. They will answer questions as time permits.

The Warner Robins

Police Department launched their social media platforms in March and April

2012.  The Facebook account has

received over 3,400 “Likes” and our Twitter account has over 670 followers.
