High School’s Junior Optimist Octagon International club spent Saturday, Feb.

9, 2013 packing and distributing food as part of the Souper Bowl of Caring. 19 JOOI members and their co-sponsors met at

Trinity UMC’s food bank, and working alongside other volunteers, they packed

100 bags of groceries to be delivered to needy families. The groceries were

then loaded into the delivery truck and taken to Memorial Terrace Apartments

for delivery. The students were paired with adults in teams of two to four

people to deliver groceries to individual apartments.
