Robins Regional Chamber presents prizes for best floats of 55th annual Christmas parade

The

Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce announced the float winners of the 55th

Annual Robins Regional Chamber Christmas Parade.

 

The winners are as follows:

Best

Religious Float- Lighthouse Baptist

Church

Best Business Float- Happy

Hour Recycling Center

Best Small Business Float- Buzzell Heating and A/C

Best Civic Float: Rebuilding Together Warner Robins

Best Miscellaneous Float– David

A Perdue – Prancing Pandas

Best Marching Unit- Nola Brantley Memorial Library

 

Judging for this year’s Parade was

provided by the Civitan Club of Warner Robins.  The judging criteria were

based on originality, costuming, adherence to the parade theme and overall

appearance. Winners may retrieve their trophies from the Robins Regional

Chamber of Commerce. This year’s “Grand Marshal Award” winner, judged by the

Chamber’s Parade Committee, was awarded for the second year in a row to West Plumbing for their portrayal of

“Nine Pipers Piping.”

Presented by American Chiropractic

Specialists, this year’s parade was themed, “The 12 Days of Christmas.” Other

parade sponsors included Dress You Up Formals, Golden Key Realty and Robins

Federal Credit Union. Local artist and Nashville rising star, Colby Dee served

as this year’s Grand Marshal and was featured on the very first float. As

incentive to enhance the competition for those vying for “Best in Show” for

each category, participants had been encouraged to use their imagination with

theme-related decoration, creativity, originality and of

course & hellipmusic!

The Robins Regional Chamber of

Commerce Christmas Parade is one of Georgia’s largest Christmas holiday events

and provides a great opportunity for area organizations and businesses to gain

valuable exposure and show off their community spirit.  While the parade

is attended by thousands of community

members, many others, including business owners, educational organizations and

recreational entities participate with floats, marching units and other entries

in efforts to kick-off the holiday season!

The Chamber would again like to

express appreciation to the 2012 Christmas Parade presenting sponsor, American

Chiropractic Specialists and other parade sponsors, including: Dress You Up

Formals, Golden Key Realty and Robins Federal Credit Union.  The Chamber

would also like to thank the many participants, volunteers, staff and family

members who played a big part in making the 55th Annual Robins Regional Chamber

of Commerce Christmas Parade a huge success!
