Perry Police makes drug arrest at residence

A Perry man was arrested Friday after police executed a

search warrant on his residence and found more than two ounces of marijuana

packaged to sell.

 

Charles Jones, 48, was arrested after Perry Police officers

executed a search warrant at 1109 Gaines Dr. Lot 36.

 

Perry Police Capt. Heath Dykes said they received

information of drug activity taking place at the residence. During the search

of the residence, police found two ounces of marijuana packaged to sell,

digital scales and two guns.

 

Jones was charged with possession of marijuana with the

intent to distribute, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted

felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of

a firearm with an altered identification and possession of tools for the

commission of a crime.
