Around 1 a.m. on Monday, a man was stabbed several times during a

fight that happened in Perry.

According to Perry Police Capt. Heath Dykes, William Taylor and Ricky

“Buster” Barrett Jr. got into an argument at 913 Jeanne St. after a group

returned by vehicle from a party and one of the passengers in the car noticed a

Galaxy III tablet was missing.

Barrett allegedly confronted Taylor. Taylor, according to Dykes,

brandished a handgun. Dykes said that is when the fight started.

During the fight, several people jumped in and Taylor was stabbed 12

times. It is unknown exactly who stabbed Taylor, stated Dykes.

He was taken to the Medical Center in Macon, where he underwent

surgery. Dykes said he is listed in critical condition.

Dykes stated that the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with

information is asked to contact Lt. Ken Ezell at 478-988-2821.
