The Perry

Area Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Class traveled to Atlanta Monday,

February 4th to attend Youth Leadership Day at the Capitol.  Several

hundred students from around Georgia were in attendance for the event sponsored

by the Carl Vinson Institute of Government.  The students kicked-off the

day by visiting Governor Deal along with State Senator Ross Tolleson and

Representative Larry O’Neal in the Governor’s Office.  Following the

personal visit with the Governor, the students attended a luncheon at the

Freight Depot where both Governor and Mrs. Deal spoke to the delegation.

The class wrapped up the day with a tour of the State Capitol before

returning to Perry.
