Multiple arrested after Perry armed robbery
PERRY, Ga. — Perry Police Department is investigating after an armed robbery at a local hotel Saturday morning, according to a release from the department.
On Nov. 4, around 6 a.m., officers responded to an armed robbery at the Quality Inn, located at 1602 Sam Nunn Boulevard.
Once on scene, officers learned a male suspect had entered the two victims’ hotel room, holding a handgun and demanding money, before fleeing the scene in the victim’s 2019 Chrysler 300. The victims were not injured during the robbery.
The offender was identified as 54-year old Willie Harris Jr. of Montezuma. Detectives later identified three additional suspects, all from Montezuma: 26-year old Alexus Byse, 19-year old Carlesia Byse, and 25-year old Dexter Sutton. Harris, Sutton and Alexus Byse were arrested and are currently held at the Houston County Detention Facility.
All four suspects face charges of Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime and Theft by Taking (Motor Vehicle.)
