Flint Energies Foundation supports Houston Habitat for Humanity …

On Thursday, Sept. 12, Houston County Habitat for Humanity, Inc., was awarded $5,000 in grant funds from the Flint Energies Foundation. The grant will be used to purchase materials, which will be used to construct and/or renovate homes.

And the Museum of Aviation Education Center …

On Sept. 12, the Museum of Aviation Education Center was awarded $5,000 in grant funds from the Flint Energies Foundation. The educational program, known as the Mission Quest Aviation Outreach Program, includes lessons in Aeronautical Science, Aeronautical History and Aviation Career Opportunities for students in sixth through 12th grades. The grant will be used to assist with the cost of transportation for the program so that the center can continue to thrive and grow.

And Georgia Legal Services …

On Sept. 12, Georgia Legal Services Program was awarded $5,000 in grant funds from the Flint Energies Foundation. The program promotes safe and healthy home environments for families. With so few attorneys to handle the increasing number of domestic violence cases, Georgia Legal Services provides several public awareness events each year. These events include printed materials and guest speakers, both for educating the public about domestic violence. The grant was used to help fund the Secrets & Stilettos Program held Sept. 7.
