The two men suspected of robbing a woman at gunpoint in her

Perry home have been arrested.

Benjamin Dontarius Thomas, 22, of Perry, and Roderick Demar

Lawson, 23, of Warner Robins, were arrested on Friday. According to Perry Police Capt. Heath Dykes, the two were

arrested at Kings Villas Apartments off of Kings Chapel Road in Perry. Dykes

said the apartment is Lawson’s girlfriend’s home. He noted that the apartment

backs up to the Alice Drive home that the alleged incident took place.

It was nearly two weeks ago that Perry police officers

responded to 115B Alice Drive in reference to two masked gunmen that held a

woman and her two children at gunpoint in their home.

According to Dykes, at around 10:40 p.m. on Jan. 9 at 115B

Alice Drive, two black males approached the female victim as she was trying to

put a screen back on her window. Dykes said one of the men pointed a shotgun in

the victim’s face and told her to go inside the house. He said the other man

was holding a brick.

Dykes said once inside the home, the two men demanded to

know where she “kept her stash.”

Police reports state the two men took several items from the

home before they fled on foot. Dykes noted that the two took a blanket off of the

back of the couch and put the items in the blanket in order to carry them.

As a result of the arrests, police said some of the stolen

items have been recovered.

Both men have been charged with three counts of aggravated

assault, burglary in the first degree, three counts of armed robbery,

possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime and kidnapping.
