A man was tased during the early morning hours of Black Friday after he allegedly did not corporate with officers.

According to the Warner Robins Police Department, at around 1:56 a.m. Friday, Torrance Scott Lahey, 33, was escorted outside of the Walmart located at 2720 Watson Blvd. by police.

Lahey consented to a search, stated the Warner Robins Police blog. While officers were searching him, he repeatedly tried to place his hands in his pockets after being told by officers not to do so, said the release.

According to the release, Lahey was placed on the ground and was refusing to remove his left arm from underneath his body. An officer then “delivered a drive stun with his taser” to Lahey’s lower back. Officers were then able to secure Lahey with handcuffs.

The release states that he received a small cut over his right eye during the scuffle on the ground. Emergency personnel were called to the scene, but he refused treatment, said the release.

A credit card with another name on it was found in his pocket, said the release. The owner of the card was contacted; the owner told police that Lahey was not supposed to have the card.

Lahey is charged with obstruction and theft by receiving stolen property.
The release listed Lahey’s previous arrest with the Warner Robins Police Department for:

2009 – Violation of Probation

2009 – Theft By Receiving Stolen Property

2008 – Terroristic Threats and Acts

2008 – Driving with Suspended License

2007 – Driving With Suspended License

2005 – Battery – Family Violence
