WRPD makes two arrests, recover stolen auto and gun
Two men have been arrested in relation to an attempt to
break into a car on Hidden Harbor Drive Wednesday.
According to a release from the Warner Robins Police Department,
around 2:30 a.m., Gerrod Daquna Prater, 29, of Macon, and Keon Dontae Releford,
22, of Warner Robins, and another male were attempting to break into a Honda
Accord behind a building at 500 Hidden Harbor Drive.
The release states, the three men ran as the officers
approached the car.
Prater and Releford were arrested, and according to the
release, one of the suspects was found to have a stolen handgun in his
possession.
The car was reported stolen out of Macon, says the release.
Prater is charged with possession of tools during the
commission of a crime, entering auto to commit a theft, theft by receiving,
obstruction of an officer, loitering/prowling violation.
Releford is charged with possession of a firearm by a
convicted felon, two counts of theft by receiving, possession of tools during
the commission of a crime, loitering/prowling violation, obstruction of an
officer, possession of a firearm during a crime.
