WRPD investigates shooting

Officers with the Warner Robins Police Department were dispatched to the 400 block of North Ave. in reference to shots fired at around 2:43 p.m.

When officers arrived, it was determined the victim and shooter were no longer on the scene. The victim was taken to the Houston Medical Center in a private vehicle before officers arrived. The suspect is described as a white male and fled the scene in a dark colored car.

The victim was initially treated at the Houston Medical Center before being transferred to Navicent Health. He was shot in the pelvic area, and his condition is not life threatening at this time.

Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators were on scene collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses. No further information is available at this time.
