WARNER ROBINS, Ga. – Police continue to investigate a shooting at 108 Wendan Way near Green Street, according to the Warner Robins Police Department. Law enforcement responded around 12:45 p.m. Monday afternoon and found a man dead on the scene.

According to Interim Chief Wayne Fisher, Anthony Presley, 48, was in control of a Honda Accord and was shot several times by the suspect. During the shooting, Presley struck a telephone pole but died due to multiple gunshot wounds on his body.

Fisher stated the possible suspect was driving a green SUV, seen in the area shortly prior to the shooting. WRPD is currently investigating the involvement of this vehicle.

Fisher said the shooting was not a random incident and was a targeted direct assault. The police department’s evidence currently indicates the victim and offender had prior knowledge of each other.

As of press time on Friday, the investigation remains ongoing. Those with more information are encouraged to call Detective Chambers at (478) 302-5380 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
