WRPD discover decomposed woman’s body, investigates death
On May 26, 2020 at 6:15 p.m., officers with the Warner Robins Police Department were dispatched to Doraville Court in reference to a deceased person.
Officers were advised juveniles were walking through a grassy area near the cul-de-sac of Doraville Court when they happened upon a deceased body. The body suffered from an advanced state of decomposition.
Criminal Investigations and Forensics both responded to the scene. Through investigation officers were able to identify the deceased person as Patricia Ann Battle, 57, originally from Macon. She had been staying with family members on Lake Joy Road. Battle left the family home early in May after the loss of a family member and had not been seen since that time. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was to conduct an autopsy Thursday.
Anyone with additional information should contact Detective Paul Peck at (478) 302-5380 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
