Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Fifty years ago, an audience was sitting in a dairy barn watching the first ever show of the Warner Robins Little Theatre. This year, audience members will be watching the same play, “My Three Angels,” in an actual theatre.

“It is such an amazing play. It is timeless,” said director Katie Manning. “It is still as good as it was 50 years ago.”

In the play, three convicts have been hired to fix the roof of a shop where a mother, father and their daughter live.

Through a series of events, the quick wit of the convicts and the trusting manner of the family, a very sticky situation is fixed.

“They adopt themselves into the family and straighten out the mess,” said Manning.

She said getting to direct this play in the theatre company’s 50th year is “amazing.”

Manning explained that the current theatre has been the home of the Warner Robins Little Theatre for 30 years. She said the community supports the theatre.

“Without a strong community, we wouldn’t be here,” she explained.

Manning said the theatre is still raising money for a new theatre and is always looking for volunteers as cast and crew members.

Show dates are April 20, 25, 26, 27, 28, May 2, 3 and 4. Sunday shows are at 2:30 p.m., and the others are at 8 p.m.
