PERRY – Betty Carolyn Proctor Parker, 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the home of her sister, Joanne and Jerry Miller, on Blythe Island, just outside of Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to First Baptist Church of Perry, 1105 Main Street, Perry, GA 31069.

Carolyn was born on June 9, 1946, in Waynesville, Georgia, to the late Charles Walter “Ward” Proctor and the late Dorothy Courson Proctor. A 1964 graduate of Glynn Academy, she lived in Hartense and the Brunswick area most of her life. She was a long-time member of King Memorial Baptist Church. Carolyn loved to bowl and worked for several years at the Bowlarena in Brunswick. She also enjoyed fishing, especially in the Satilla River. A homemaker all of her life, she worked endlessly to create a nurturing and encouraging environment in which to raise her family. For the last two years of her life, she enjoyed living near family in Perry, where she had become a member of First Baptist Church of Perry. She loved the Lord, and she loved her family who will dearly miss her.
