Woman arrested for involvement in Friday morning club shooting
24-year old Katlyn Green was arrested for her involvement in a shooting at CRU Lounge on March 15. 28 year-old Kadarius Kendrick, 27-year old Deandre Dodson and 27-year old Ta’kera James were injured in the shooting.
Warner Robins Police Department was called at around 1:55 a.m. Officers arrived on the scene and began assisting the victims. Kendrick had a gunshot wound to his leg, while Dodson had a gunshot wound to her upper chest. Kendrick was transported to Navicent Health in Macon for treatment.
James had a grazing wound and received treatment at Houston Healthcare – Warner Robins, along with Dodson. Dodson was then transported to Atrium Health Navicent in Macon for further treatment.
The CRU Lounge was no stranger to violence on their property after a shooting took place in June 2022, leading to one death and an arrest.
“We’ve had a past homicide there before, then we’ve had this shooting. There have been other reports coming out of there as far as assaults or fights and things like that,” WRPD Sgt. Justin Clark said.
Fortunately, in this shooting, all the victims are expected to survive, as Clark explained.
“From what I understand is that there are no life-threatening injuries. Two of them are already out of the hospital. They are stable and in good condition,” Clark said.
According to preliminary investigation, a fight broke out between unknown groups. Green was a part of the altercation and used a handgun during the fight.
“It started as just a verbal [altercation], which moved to a physical altercation and ended up with shots being fired,” Clark said.
Green was arrested for aggravated assault. The case is still under investigation.
Clark suggested that anyone with more information about the case contact Detective Nix and Detective Brankley at (478) 302-5380 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
