Warner Robins unveils new renderings for Commercial Circle redevelopment
The renderings are in partnership with the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government.

WARNER ROBINS — The City of Warner Robins is moving forward with Operation Reawaken and has released new renderings for Commercial Circle’s redevelopment. The city partnered with the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government on the project.
The designs incorporate key principles of good urban planning and economic development while learning from past proposals to comprehensively revitalize downtown, the city said in a press release.
“The transformation of Commercial Circle is a vital step in our commitment to revitalizing Downtown Warner Robins,” Mayor LaRhonda Patrick said. “These renderings reflect our dedication to smart urban planning, economic growth, and creating a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly, live, work, place area for our residents and businesses.”
By partnering with the Carl Vinson Institute of Government, the city can achieve innovative insight while being good stewards of taxpayer dollars, they said. The city is encouraging residents to view the full renderings online and provide feedback, used to fine-tune the redevelopment efforts.
The ongoing Operation Reawaken aims to revitalize the downtown district. As part of this initiative, the city recently announced the demolition of a vacant commercial property at 107 S. Davis Drive, set for March 25 at 10 a.m. The event is part of a larger effort to clear the area for mixed-use development, featuring retail, dining, green spaces, and residential developments.
