The Warner Robins Little Theatre is performing the last production of the 2018-2019 season and it’s promised to make audience members laugh until they split their sides.

Director Bill Felton and his cast of 11 bring to life, “Mystery, Mayhem, and Murder” by Jeb Parrish. The play opened Friday, but will run April 20, 25, 26, 27, 28, May 2, 3, and 4. Felton said the play is a farce.

“It’s nothing scary,” Felton said laughing. “This play is a fun mystery with a little bit of slap stick, sarcasm and bigger than life characters. It’s one that will make your sides hurt from laughing.”

While the play is a mystery, Felton said he couldn’t give away too many details because there is a surprise at the end.

“Mystery, Mayhem and Murder is about a couple-Juliet and Boniface Brighton played by Cheryl Taylor and Michael Castle, who go to their summer home because their town house is being worked on. They send their daughter Wendy Brighton played by Rachael Campillo, ahead, but she disappears.”

When Juliet and Boniface show up to their summer home, Felton said strange things begin to happen as they hear laughter out of no where, violin music begins to play, and the lights turn on and off by themselves.

“So Juliet and Boniface begin to worry,” Felton said. “Next thing you know there is a murder and that body disappears. And [a] few more characters show up and then there’s a nice surprise at the end (he said laughing). I really don’t want to spoil anything, but it’s going to be a great show.”

Felton said Taylor and Castle are the lead characters, but each cast member is considered a lead.

“It is such a great ensemble and I have been really blessed by them,” Felton said. “They may have small roles, but they all make them really big and bring so much life to them. This play is appropriate for all ages and fun for the whole family. We hope to end the season with a packed house each performance.”

The play begins at 8 p.m. except for on April 28, which is a Sunday matinee; beginning at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $16 for general admission and $14 for students, senior citizens and active military. For more information or reservations call the Warner Robins Little Theatre at 478-929-4579.
